Racial skins
Racial skins are cosmetics that enable a player to change their character's racial appearance.[1][2][3][4]
- Racial skins transform the appearance of the character to that skin. The original racial appearance of the character is entirely replaced.[1]
- Racial skins are not costumes. This means that armor and character customization is possible on these.[5]
- There are plans to create other racial skins.[8]
- Some potential future ideas include undead and werewolf (lycan) skins.[9]
- Racial skins can be toggled on and off.[4]
- You're changing your race over to that, which means that you won't look uniquely different if you were a Vek angel or a Human angel.[1] – Steven Sharif

Freehold skins
Freehold building skins were offered as Kickstarter and Summer crowdfunding rewards and were available in pre-order packs.[12][13][14][15][16]
- Freehold building skins can also be achieved in-game.[17]
- Freehold skins can be applied to blueprints matching the type of freehold building: housing, artisanship, and business.[11][17][19][12][20][21][22]
- Cosmetics that we have sold as part of different packs throughout the past- our pre-order system: Those cosmetics are split into three primary categories: housing, artisanship, and business; and we will have a breakdown that we're going to be releasing of the cosmetics that have come previously and which categories they exist in, but players will have the option to override the appearance of a blueprint that exists within one of those categories with an associated cosmetic skin; and that is obviously not just something that can be purchased through the pre-order system, but also can be achieved in-game as well- our cosmetics that can be applied to specific building types. And we don't get as granular where, let's say, you might have a shrine cosmetic, and you have, let's say, a blacksmith building that you wouldn't be able to apply the shrine to the blacksmith building. If the shrine exists in the artisanship lane you can apply it to any artisanship type building, but not to a house or business. so giving a little bit of additional context there.[17] – Steven Sharif
- The vast majority of cosmetic freehold skins apply to homestead buildings.[25]
- A planned feature may allow multiple buildings to be replaced by a single large cosmetic skin.[26]
- Cosmetics that are are very large in size- we will have a system that's not been developed yet, but we've been planning for this: we'll have a system where multiple buildings can be occupied space-wise by the larger cosmetic. So, a cosmetic might replace the visual appearance of one particular building, but then you'll be able to have that footprint occupy multiple buildings to replace the visual appearance. So that way you're still utilizing the similar amount of space.[17] – Steven Sharif
- Baronies won't impose any appearance restrictions on freehold buildings.[27]

Caravan skins
Caravan skins ("Pimp my caravan") were available in the cash shop (cosmetic store).[29]
- The skin changes the appearance of an in-game mount and in-game caravan that are hooked up to each other.[30][31]
- The caravan and mount components of the skin are not able to be utilized separately.[30][31]
- Building, ship, caravan and mount cosmetics require an in-game item to be obtained first to apply the cosmetic.[22][20]
You'll need your own creature and caravan hooked up to each other, and then the caravan cosmetic skin goes over all of them to make it look like what's pictured. you're not able to split out separately that caravan mount skin, hence why you'd want the separate mount skin if you wanted to ride it independently.[30] – Sarah Flanagan

Mount skins
Mounts are obtained through an early quest that is available to players in starting areas.[34]
- Mounts can also be found in the wild and tamed.[35][36]
- There are three different tiers of mount.[37]
- Aquatic/swimming mounts are classified as tier A.[38][39]
- Different tier mounts have different abilities that are unique to that tier. These may provide horizontal or vertical power gains.[40]
- Mounts can have up to four abilities, including speed boosts, offensive and defensive abilities.[41][42]
- Mount abilities are unlocked via the animal husbandry profession.[41]
- Mount speeds are determined by the base mount that skins are applied to.[43]
- Aquatic mounts are faster in water and slower on land. Land mounts are faster on land and slower in water.[44]
- Mounts will be purchasable from players utilizing Animal husbandry and taming.[45]
- Mounts will have rarities that they are either bred or acquired. These rarities may influence mount skills and visual effects, such as seasonal variations.[46]
- Fall damage that occurs while mounted will be first applied to the mount; and if the mount dies as a result, then the remaining damage may overflow onto the player, but this will be determined based on testing.[47]
- There may be emotes associated with mounts and pets, such as petting, hugging, or playing with them.[48]
- The majority of mounts are based on animals, but there may be some mounts based on inanimate objects in the future.[49]

Guild hall skins
Guild halls serve as a focal point for a guild, offering a host of benefits and customization options.[52]
- When a guild reaches a certain level, its guild master is granted a certificate to enable placement of a guild hall.[53]
- Guild halls may be placed within Baronies within the ZOI of a node.[11]
- A barony can only have a single guild hall.[11]
- The number of baronies that can have an active guild hall is determined by the node's stage.[54][55]
- Only a limited subset of the guild halls available around the node are available concurrently... So you might only have two that might be available at fifth level and then three at sixth level of a node; and the guilds have an opportunity to select from the six available which three are going to be active.[54] – Steven Sharif
- Patron guilds may also place their guild hall within (the footprint of) their patron node. These guild halls have different perks and benefits to halls placed within Baronies.[56][53][57][56]
- Patron guild halls placed within Baronies may have the ability to confer benefits to surrounding estates within that node by speccing into passives in their guild skill tree and carrying out a lengthy quest line.[58]
- The design of guild-halls is currently subject to active iteration by the developers.[59]
- Guild halls can only be destroyed by a successful node siege. This contrasts with guild fortresses, which can be sieged in a guild war.[53][60][61]
- Guild halls are objectives in guild wars.[60]
- A guild hall only houses a single guild.[62]
