Account transfers
Account transfers from MY.GAMES (My.Com/Mail.Ru) to enable access to Ashes of Creation testing phases can be done by registering an account with Intrepid Studios and submitting a support ticket.[1][2] The intention is for all purchases and achievements to be preserved.[3]
- Q: What does this mean for my Ashes of Creation account with MY.GAMES moving forward?
- A: We are working with MY.GAMES (previously My.Com and Mail.Ru) to transfer purchases made in the MY.GAMES platform to the Intrepid Account system, so that you will be able to use those purchases in Ashes of Creation. Please create a support ticket using the "I need assistance with my account" and "MY.GAMES Migration" option and our support team will assist you with this transfer process. [1]
- Q: What happens if I don’t have an Intrepid Account?
- A: You will need to have an Intrepid Account for the transfer to take place. If you have not already done so, please create an Intrepid Account with the same email address that is associated with your MY.GAMES account. [1]
- Q: What happens to the purchases on my MY.GAMES account moving forward?
- A: Once accounts are migrated to the Intrepid Account platform, any Ashes of Creation purchases would be available on your Intrepid Account.[1]
- Q: If I don't want to transfer or migrate my MY.GAMES account, can I get a refund?
- A: Any players who previously purchased their pre-order through MY.GAMES can submit a support request through MY.GAMES for a full refund.[1]
- Q: What happens to my personal information associated with my MY.GAMES account?
- A: Your MY.GAMES account and all associated data will remain safely within the MY.GAMES account system. In order to facilitate the migration of your purchases, MY.GAMES will provide Intrepid Studios with the following data, ONLY if you have made a purchase related to Ashes of Creation or Ashes of Creation: Apocalypse through the MY.GAMES systems.[1]
Publishers
Intrepid Studios will self-publish Ashes of Creation in the NA (North American), OCE (Oceanic) and SEA (Southeast Asia) regions.[4][5]
- Intrepid Studios will be opening offices in Amsterdam to help support their publishing operations in the EU (European Union) and CIS regions.[3]
We have learned a lot from our partnership with MY.GAMES, and we wish our friends there all the best as we have mutually decided to part ways. Looking ahead, we’re excited to announce that Intrepid Studios will be opening European offices in Amsterdam to help support our publishing operations in the EU/CIS regions. We have recently posted open positions for our new EU offices, and look forward to hiring the best and brightest in true Intrepid fashion.[3] – Steven Sharif
The Ashes of Creation MMORPG will not be published on the Steam platform.[6]
- Ashes of Creation Apocalypse battle royale early access testing ended on March 10, 2020. It was previously available for download on the official website and on Steam.[7]
Testing phases
Ashes of Creation testing phases.
- Alpha-0 was the invite-only "raffle" friends and family alpha test phase.[9][10]
- Alpha-1, Alpha-2, Beta-1, and Beta-2 were available for purchase during the Kickstarter and Summer crowdfunding campaigns.[8]
- Alpha-1 was available in the Intrepid pre-order pack and the Adventurer pre-order pack.[11][12]
- Alpha-2 and Beta-2 were available during PAX West 2017.[13][14]
- Alpha-2, Beta-1, and Beta-2 were available in Pre-order packs on the cosmetic store.[15][16]
- Alpha-2, Beta-1, and Beta-2 packs that were purchased through Mail.ru can gain access to the testing periods they were entitled to by registering an account with Intrepid Studios and submitting a support ticket.[2]
Ashes of Creation's core game systems are expected to be in place at the start of Alpha-2.[17][18] By the end of Alpha-2, the game is expected to be feature complete, but it will not be content complete until launch.[19][20]
- Alpha-1 and Alpha-2 testers may be invited to participate in spot testing prior to the Alpha-2 release.[21][22]
- The game will be feature complete before Beta... Beta really is intended to identify last minute bugs to make sure that everything is ready for launch; it's important that all features are complete by Beta-1. Alpha-2 will not be feature complete at the start of Alpha-2. There are going to be updates that are going to be incorporated as part of the Alpha-2 process and there are going to be additional features that come online that get fleshed out between that time and Beta-1. There's going to be regions of the maps that aren't going to be accessible of course during Alpha-2.[20] – Steven Sharif
- Alpha-2 is intended to exist up until launch. There's going to be different testing periods that we will be releasing either new content locations or zones or systems that we want to have players focus in on. In those situations, if we're having participation drought because of the length of Alpha-2, we can set them up in a more focused setting. We can even incentivize that. We can offer unique testing to potentially new testers as well.[19] – Steven Sharif
