Mount barding cosmetic reward for backing at the Leader of Men level.[1]

Mount barding (also referred to as Saddles) is armor for mounts in Ashes of Creation. Mount barding is similar in concept to player armor.[2]

  • The higher the level of barding, the better looking it will be.[2]
  • Barding will have multiple components that can be equipped. Each component will increase the stats of the mount, such as hit points and speed.[3][2]
  • Barding cosmetics can only be applied to mounts with barding cosmetic slots.[4]
  • Cosmetic skins may only be applied to barding/saddle items that are earned in-game.[5]
    • Barding skins can not be applied over a mount skin.[6]
The mount skins are applied to the mount, and barding (think of it like an accessory appearance) can not be applied over the mount skin.[6]Cody Peterson
    • Barding skins' appearance may differ depending on the type of mount.[4]

Crowdfunding

Guild themed mount barding was a cosmetic reward for backing at the Leader of Men level or higher in the Kickstarter and Summer crowdfunding campaigns.[7]

Emblems

The user interface will allow emblems, logos and symbols to be designed in-game.[9][10][11]

Q: Do nodes provide their citizens some kind of clothes or ornaments, capes, tabards, or something that they can basically represent their node?
A: I mean technically the node does have a sigil or insignia and there will be certain armors that you can customize insignia and/or symbols on, so yes you could probably achieve that.[12]Steven Sharif
