Urlor's Expedition
Urlor's Expedition was a cosmetic caravan skin in a pre-order pack.[1]
Urlor was a famous Dwarven caravan leader... This is named after him and his exploits in the north.[2]
Urlor was the founding member of the Frostguard Expeditionary team, and also the first to succumb to the elements in that first, fateful trek. It was Urlor who, in a fit of rage, took a hammer to the wheels of that first caravan, frustrated at their lack of progress and lack of foresight. He then replaced them with wide, smooth rails that he fashioned from nearby trees with his own hands and axe. It was Urlor who, when their southern horses stumbled and slipped on the icy tundra, disappeared into the wastes and returned with bear-like creatures he had somehow taught to obey his every bark and command. These creatures never slipped, never faltered, and had seemingly endless stamina. Though Urlor never returned, his legends certainly did, and the Frostguard Expeditionary caravans are named in his honor.[3] – Margaret Krohn

Cosmetic store
The Cosmetic store enables players to purchase Cosmetics for use in Ashes of Creation.[6] The cosmetic store offers limited time, limited quantity items to help sustain game development.[7]
- Equitable cosmetics, both from a quantity and quality standpoint, are achievable through in-game means.[7]
- Nothing in the cosmetic store will be pay to win.[8]
Nothing in our shop will ever be pay to win as we believe this practice greatly hurts the MMORPG genre.[8]
- Cash shop cosmetics will offer a diverse selection of unique looks.[9]
I want to incentivize purchase in the cosmetic shop for sustainability of what expansions we have intended, since we are not a box cost. I want to incentivize purchase by offering limited items: limited time, limited quantity, so you have confidence that when you purchase them, they won't be offered later on in some other way.[7] – Steven Sharif
- All cosmetic store items will be non-tradeable.[10] There will be no gifting mechanism for cosmetic items.[11]
I don't want cosmetic items that can be purchased from the market to be transferable... because it is in a way a transfer of money for potentially something in-game.[11] – Steven Sharif
Skins
Accessories/armor, Buildings, Caravans, Mounts, Pets, and Ships sold in the cosmetic store are skins.[14][15][16]
- Skins are cosmetic items that do not grant the user any benefit.[17]
- Skins are only be able to be applied to things that have already been earned, crafted or found within Ashes of Creation.[18][19]
- Owning cosmetics does not guarantee the acquisition of the item the cosmetic can be used on. Players must still achieve the corresponding item/building.[18] – Steven Sharif
- Caravan skins change the appearance of an in-game mount and in-game caravan that are hooked up to each other.[24][25]
- The best skins will be in-game achievable.[26]
- The best skins will be in-game achievable (obviously “best” is subjective, so I’d say the most ornate and detailed/unique).[26] – Steven Sharif
