Spellbooks are a type of Weapon in Ashes of Creation.[1]
When we were creating the book we have for Alpha-0, one the ideas floating around was to have a large tomb with a chain that held the tomb; and you could swing the tomb to hit your targets as a melee book. Whether or not that comes to fruition we will see, but it was an idea on the sketchboard.[2] – Steven Sharif
