Barracks are a unique service building that unlocks at Village (stage 3) of Military nodes.[2][3][4]
- Upgrades to the barracks may allow a garrison of siege NPCs to be spawned to defend against node sieges.[5]

Barracks house training and quest lines relating to:[3]
- Combat.[3]
- Defeating nearby monsters.[3]
- Guild wars (potentially).[3]
- Participation in castle sieges.[3]
Unique node buildings
Each node type has a unique service building associated with it that can be activated at Village (stage 3) of node advancement.[7] The unique building plays a central role in the progress of civilization for a server.[8]
